Surinder Deal has over 20 years of experience in Real Estate and Corporate and Commercial Law, having acted in all aspects of real estate transactions; registration of and securitization involving vessels; securities and in large scale structured finance transactions such as the sale of the consumer loan portfolio from a Bahamian licensed bank, borrowing by a Bahamian company from a US governmental agency; and the sale of a licensed Bahamian bank, being a part of the sale of a group of companies. She has also facilitated the private placements of offshore securities in The Bahamas.
Surinder earned an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Buckingham, England in 1983, and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1984.
The following year, she was called to the Bar in her native Malaysia, working there for one year as an Associate at the chambers of Kumar & Co. She is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
She is a member of the Bar Associations of Malaysia and The Bahamas, and of the International Bar Association. She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners |

Sterling H Cooke’s primary professional practice includes Real Property and Conveyancing, Commercial Law, Probate and Estate Administration, Maritime Law and International Financing transactions involving Bahamian registered ships and companies.
Sterling studied Law in the United States and the Caribbean – first earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina at Columbia, and later receiving a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill, Barbados. Subsequently, he completed studies at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica in September 1990.

1999 Lynden D Maycock, CPA has
been responsible for overseeing
the firm’s financial and
accounting functions, including
financial planning and budgeting,
financial reporting, and accounting
policies and procedures. His purview
has also included managing financial
internal controls and maintaining
the accounting systems of the
firm’s corporate and estate
management entities, H & J
Corporate Services Ltd and Management
Services Ltd, respectively.
Prior to joining Higgs &
Johnson, Lynden held progressively
senior positions in accountancy
in the Public Treasury, Ministry
of Finance & Planning and
at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Accounting from the
University of Tennessee (1991)
and an Associate of Arts degree
in Accounting from the College
of The Bahamas (1987). He earned
the Certified Public Accountant
designation in 1997 (Georgia
State Board). He is a member
of the Bahamas Institute of
Chartered Accountants; Georgia
Society of CPAs; American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants;
and Bahamas Association of Compliance
Officers. He currently serves
as Treasurer, Bahamas Youth
Brass Band; and Advisor, Junior
Achievement (Bahamas). In April
2006, Lynden was elected Vice
President of the College of
The Bahamas Alumni Association.
His hobbies include music, sports
and Junkanoo.
